From Saarburg, we set off into one of the most charming sections of the Saar. The tour is named after the blind King John. His final mistake was riding blindly into battle, which, however, did not diminish his fame – on the contrary. Before reaching the Serrig lock, we turn back. Passing the town and Saarburg Castle, we turn one last time – with a view of the Ockfen vineyards.
